VA manages a range of benefits and services that give military members, veterans, their dependents, and survivors cash and other types of support. You might be qualified for education benefits provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs if you served in active duty. For instance, the Post-9/11 GI Bill® offers financial assistance for housing and school costs to people who have worked at least 90 days in total after September 10, 2001, or to people who have been discharged with a disability related to their service after 30 days. The Post-9/11 GI Bill® is only available to those who were discharged with honor. The Post-9/11 GI Bill® benefits of a service member may be transferred to you if you are the spouse or child of the service person.
